Pre-flight and Start-up -
Taxi -
Takeoff -
En-route to Target -
At Target A/O -
Landing -
- Board assigned air-frame.
- Order appropriate armament, fuel, and paint scheme for #1 from your crew chief.
- Check that SRS is active. [HVY]Squadron SRS - 70.71.87.201:5002 --- Save Name As: HVY
- WAIT - for your Flight Lead to call engine start-up.
- Switch to UNICOM for Airfield. - See Radio Frequency Card Page.
- Flight Lead will give specifics on the location of the holding pattern and altitude assignment for formation.
- Set BINGO fuel level appropriate to mission requirements.
Taxi -
- Flight Lead will radio their flight's intentions to the Tower or UNICOM.
- Wing-men follow directions of their Flight Lead to runway.
Takeoff -
- Flight Lead will specify whether flight will line up on runway for formation or staggered takeoffs.
En-route to Target -
- Follow Flight Lead's Orders on Formation Type, Altitude, and Heading Changes.
At Target A/O -
- Flight Lead will call first strike, with Wing-man, Section Leader and their Wing-man in pursuit.
- When INBOUND - All pilots will call which direction they are coming FROM.
- All pilots will call appropriate weapon release name, e.g. Rifle, Pickle, Fox 2, etc.
- When OUTBOUND - All pilots then call which direction they will be GOING for egress.
- ALL PILOTS FROM A SECTION WILL COVER THEIR ELEMENT BEFORE RTB TOGETHER. (Stay until attack is complete) This only applies when damaged aircraft can sustain loitering.
Landing -
- Flight Lead will specify landing order based on damage to airframes. Damaged airframes receive priority for landings.
