Welcome to The Joint Task Force Heavy Basic Check Flight!

Joint Task Force Heavy pilots must pass a basic check flight that combines the basic operation of the aircraft, weapons delivery, airport operations, and communications. While it may seem overwhelming, we are here to help you succeed. We will help you master your aircraft in virtual combat, and this is where we start the process.

The check flight takes 60 minutes on average, and will allow a recruit of (R) status to progress up the ranks, and to participate in Squadron Campaign Events.

Our check flight is designed to give new pilots a foothold in the basics of what we do, and prepare them for a combat role in our larger operations. Please refer to these sections for preparation (click on links):

- The BASIC CHECK FLIGHT -

In the Basic Check Flight, we fly from an airfield to a target range and back for the exam. We base the exam on a few parameters that are very basic in nature, and will get a recruit ready for Official Campaign Sorties.
These items of emphasis are on:
  1. Bombing with dumb ordnance.
  2. Rockets use.
  3. Guns use.
  4. Communications.
  5. Takeoff and landing.

The knee-boards below should be studied prior to your Basic Check Flight, and should be installed for the flight itself. If you have questions, please ask a senior HVY pilot for assistance. They have all gone through it, and will help you any way they can.

Please note that you will most likely take the flight on the Caucasus map, HVY Sandbox.
